Causes Of Hypotension

Bradycardia

Ladies, how's your heart rate? If it's slower than 60 beats a minute, you have bradycardia! Athletes have slow and healthy heart rates. But ladies, bradycardia does cause issues! You'll have chest pain and shortness of breath. You're also going to feel dizzy and deal with fatigue during the day! Fainting is also quite common. Of course, your blood pressure will get lower if you have this condition. Ladies, a slow heart rate is caused by hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, heart disease, and similar conditions.

You'll get tests like a Holter monitor, electrocardiogram, and a tilt table test if your doctor is trying to diagnose bradycardia. Your treatment options include adjusting the necessary medication. You'll need treatment based on your underlying condition too! For example, if you have sleep apnea, you need a CPAP machine!

Blood Loss

Anything that makes you lose blood is a cause of low blood pressure. Ladies, blood loss means your losing blood volume. There will be less force against your blood vessel walls because of this! Injuries, including falls and those from car accidents, cause blood loss. Bleeding outside your body is easy to spot. Internal bleeding, though, isn't! Ladies, keep an eye out for bruising, swelling, and even pain in your abdomen. These can all indicate internal bleeding! If you're losing blood, you'll also deal with dizziness and lightheadedness. Fainting happens in severe blood loss!

Shock and blood loss often appear together. Ladies, these two ensure you'll experience hypotension! You'll also deal with sweating, lethargy, and weakness! Feeling cold? Yes, that's a symptom too! You'll need treatment at the hospital for these. IV fluids and blood transfusions are quite common options!
